Audrina Patridge has moved on from The Hills, but does the new host of 1st Look have any regrets about her time on MTV? Despite putting her on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bobby in full public view, Patridge says she has no bad feelings about her time on The Hills.
“Looking back, to be honest, I don’t think I would do anything different. I was true to myself,” Patridge told Access Hollywood. “It was a show and we had fun. You want to be interesting and cause drama because that’s what people want to see.”
Kristin Cavallari recently revealed that she faked a relationship with Brody Jenner while on the last season of the show. "Brody Jenner at the time was dating Jayde Nicole," Cavallari recalled. “I dated Brody when I was 18, right after Laguna Beach, actually, and that's it. And then on the show, on The Hills, they had us 'dating' for a few episodes. They pretended that him and Jayde broke up, and I was dating Brody, and Jayde and I got into a huge fight because she saw us in a club. It wasn't real at all. They were together the entire time." Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, who were the most maligned after the show ended, also recently told E! that their fights were scripted.
Patridge didn’t say she faked any relationships, but she also didn’t deny exaggerating for the cameras. "In the beginning, a lot of it was real. As it went on, it was very manipulated and guided and you're kinda put in these scenarios where you would show up and you didn't know what you were in for until you were there, and you wanted to run out but they lock the door on you," Patridge told E! News. The host also said she had to fight with co-star Cavallari before being allowed to get off set. "I actually had to leave early for another event, we were there for about three hours and they were like, 'You can't leave until you and Kristin get into a fight.' So I'm like, 'Oh my God, Kristin!' Kristin's like, 'Let's do it.' I'm like, 'OK, c'mon.' It was about Justin [Bobby] and we did it and we got to leave. So little things like that.”
Patridge still says she has no regrets about her Hills experience. “At the end of the day, I don’t think I would do anything different.”
