Is Arie Luyendyk Jr. engaged to one of the women from The Bachelor Season 22? It certainly sounds like it!
The Bachelor 2018 premieres on Jan.1. But ABC is also airing a special preview episode on Dec. 11. "Countdown To Arie" will feature a recap of his Bachelor journey and interviews with his family and friends. There will also be updates on Bachelor couples Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo, Evan and Carly Bass, Sean and Catherine Lowe, and Jade and Tanner Tolbert.
The special may help assuage fans who were upset about Arie being chosen as the Bachelor. While many were hoping for Peter Kraus, Chris Harrison has defended the network's choice.
"We chose Arie because he's great," the host told E! News. "I love Arie, I'm a little biased because he's a friend of mine and I've known him for several years, so I'm actually really excited he's the Bachelor. I think he's a very sincere good gentleman and I think he'll be a good one."

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW
But will Arie find love on The Bachelor? Reality Steve has finally revealed his spoilers for Season 22. And he says Arie did get engaged.
The lucky lady is reportedly Becca Kufrin. According to Steve, Becca is a 27-year-old senior account executive from Minnesota. Her sister Emily is also engaged. But Becca has a tragic backstory, with her father passing away several years ago, and her mother currently in remission from cancer. Steve says Becca came across well during filming and will likely be a fan favorite.
Steve had previously revealed that Becca was one of the final four women on The Bachelor 2018. In his latest round of spoilers, Steve reported that Tia Booth got eliminated after the Hometown Dates, and that Kendall Long (who went the whole season without a one-on-one date) went home after the Overnights in Peru. That left Becca and Lauren Burnham as the final two.
Steve also reports that Becca had one of the most memorable limo entrances of The Bachelor Season 22. She actually asked Arie to propose to her during that initial meeting. Arie was apparently impressed, as he gave Becca the first one-on-one date of the season. And just a few months later he really proposes.
Still, Reality Steve isn't sure that Becca and Arie will get married. Steve believes that Arie came on The Bachelor to promote his racing career and not to find a wife. So poor Becca could end up heartbroken.
