Is Billy Bush beyond redemption? Rumors are swirling that Billy wants to join Dancing With The Stars to save his career. But there are some people that even DWTS can’t redeem.
New reports claim that Billy is “begging” ABC to let him join the cast of Season 24 of Dancing With The Stars. He would even reportedly “take a pay cut.” But the report claims ABC is “tired of having celebs wanting to join DWTS as a way of doing damage control” and is “sick of having contestants who want to be cast as a way of reviving their broken career, which is exactly what some believe Billy is trying to do!”
But Billy’s rep told Gossip Cop he’s not “begging” to join DWTS. This came after rumors swirled in October that ABC was actively recruiting Billy to compete on DWTS. Yet a source close to the production told Vulture that the reports were completely false.
Billy, of course, was fired by NBC after the Access Hollywood tape controversy. In the tape, Billy could be heard laughing and egging Donald Trump on as he bragged about sexually assaulting women.
“You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful – I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ‘em by the p---y. You can do anything,” the President said. Billy then talked about how hot Arianne Zucker was and told her to hug Donald Trump.
After the tape leaked, NBC suspended Billy from Today. He then resigned, and his reputation has been completely broken.
Look, there are plenty of redemption stories on Dancing With The Stars. Last season, Ryan Lochte came on to fix his reputation after lying about being robbed at gunpoint in Rio. Paula Deen also competed in Season 21 after she faced a discrimination lawsuit and admitted using the N-word.
But can Bush's reputation really be fixed? And would ABC really hire someone from its rival network?
