Blake Lively is loving married life with Ryan Reynolds, and since the couple have perfected their own Bedford home since tying the knot, it’s no surprise that the actress decided to create a lifestyle brand.
“It’s something that will be launching in a few months and that I’m really, really thrilled about,” Lively gushed to Vogue UK. “The main element of it is that it’s about storytelling and it’s about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that.” Lively’s lifestyle brand will likely be similar to other celebrity endeavors like Gwyneth Paltrow’s brand Goop, but the Gossip Girl insists her version will be groundbreaking.
“There’s nothing like it out there,” Lively said of her new business. “It’s without a genre.” Mrs. Reynolds has certainly solidified a reputation for being a fashion darling, almost always landing on the Best Dressed List, but she said her Hollywood lifestyle has given her much more than just impeccable style. “I have so many passions outside of acting and things that I grew up being good at and that I don’t utilize when acting,” Lively explained.
In fact, Lively revealed that she never aspired to be an on-screen star, but fell into showbiz as a matter of chance. “Acting was something that my family did so I just kind of got into it by default,” the 26-year-old said. “But there was so much that I cultivated, thinking that I wouldn’t be an actor.” Likely to be a staple for Lively’s lifestyle brand is home décor, which has played a large part in the actress’ life as of late.
Earlier this year, Lively opened up about decorating the Bedford, New York home that she shares with Reynolds, and described how fashion and interior design are integrally related. “Design, whether it’s on your body or in your home is the same thing. It’s mixing different colors, different textures and unexpected patterns,” the stylish star said. “That’s also why I look for things that you don’t see everywhere, things that are elegant. And I’m always looking for pieces that make a statement.”
