Chris Cornell's suicide by hanging has shocked fans and led to countless questions. Those close to the Soundgarden frontman say he didn't seem to be depressed or anxious before his death.

After the guitarist was found dead, a Wayne County, Michigan medical examiner released information on Thursday saying that the Seattle-born star took his own life.

But his wife, Vicky Cornell, told TMZ that her husband did not exhibit signs of depression and did not speak of suicide in the last few weeks.
