Is the feud between Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera finally over? The two musical divas have reportedly been feuding for years, but they put the rumors to rest with a performance last night during the Season 5 finale of The Voice. Aguilera and Gaga performed the Little Monster leader’s new single “Do What U Want” and heaped praise on each other before and after the performance.

“I love you girl and you deserve everything that you’ve earned,” said Aguilera to Gaga after the performance. “This is the first time we’ve ever met and I have to say, when I heard she wanted to collaborate I said, ‘Of course!’ I’ve been wanting to meet her. She’s such an innovative artists and a risk taker … she’s the most down to earth real person that I’ve ever met in this business.”

Gaga has been equally complimentary towards Aguilera in the months leading up to their performance. “I’m a very big fan of Christina Aguilera. From the very beginning of when my career started, there was all this controversy about the two of us. I always felt that was very unfair,” she said last September on Watch What Happens Live. "When I was 15 I was singing “I Turn to You” at the top of my lungs trying to hit all her notes. So she was an inspiration to me to have a wider vocal range."

Rumors of the reported feud between Aguilera and Gaga began in 2008 after Aguilera allegedly made snide remarks about Gaga, which were then blown out of proportion on social media. There was also speculation that she copied much of Gaga’s previous video work in her own video for “Not Myself Tonight.”

But while Aguilera will return to The Voice next season, Gaga is resuming promoting her latest album Artpop, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. She’s also gearing up for her Artrave: The Artpop Ball Tour, which kicks off in Florida on May 4, and will make an appearance in the upcoming drama Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, which hits theaters on August. The end of 2014 will also feature a new musical project from Gaga as she teams up with Tony Bennett for the jazz collaboration album Cheek to Cheek.
