A source told ET that Christina and Nate's relationship is already "over." In fact, they were supposedly broken up before word got out that they were dating.
"Nothing dramatic happened -- it was super casual from the start, and they were never an official couple to begin with," the source said. "Bad timing on both their ends never really let it evolve into something serious. They remain friends and there are no bad feelings between them at all."
Christina has even continued attending Anaheim Ducks games after the breakup. She actually posted a photo from one of those games over the weekend.
Sources told ET that Christina is a longtime Ducks fans and purchased the tickets to Sunday's game months in advance. And she made it clear in her caption that she was just celebrating a pal's birthday. So she wasn't there just to cheer on her ex.
"Happy birthday @cazeb ... celebrating my Bestie / PR extraordinaire at a @anaheimducks / @lakings game," Christina captioned the photo below. "#shelikeskings #letsgoducks #justtwogirlswholovehockey #WWCZD."
Nate and Christina were first linked back in March, a few months after they were spotted together at a charity event. Sources told E! News at the time that the couple had been dating for about a month. An insider similarly told Us Weekly, "She’s very into him and it’s super new."
But things apparently never went beyond that. TMZ even reported at the time that the relationship was just a quick fling. So neither star is likely too upset about the split.
Nate has already moved on from Christina and is reportedly back with his ex, Sydney Kaplan. And Christina said after her divorce from Tarek El Moussa that she was not looking to jump into another serious romance. "I’m focusing my energy on myself and my children," she told People last month.
