The Clueless cast reunited this week at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Well, only some of the cast, but it was still awesome to see Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone), Dionne Davenport (Stacey Dash) and Amber Mariens (Elisa Donovan) together again 19 years after the film hit theaters. The trio joined director Amy Heckerling and costume designer Mona May for a special screening of the teen comedy, which was followed by a Q & A.
“Just as everyone said, it was such a magical experience,” Donovan said at the Clueless reunion. “That was my first movie. So to have such an extraordinary group of people, and to have everybody be young, and have so much fun, it was amazing.”
Of course, there were a few big names missing from this Clueless reunion. Love interests Paul Rudd and Donald Faison were noticeably absent. And, of course, actress Brittany Murphy, who played Tai Frasier, passed away in 2009. Murphy was part of one of the film’s most iconic moments when she sang Coolio’s “Rollin’ With My Homies” in the big party scene.
“She had that spark, you know what I mean?” Faison previously told Vulture of his Clueless co-star. “I honestly believe that’s why everybody remembers the song because one, she’s so cute when she sings it. Two, you didn’t expect that voice to come out of that girl when she sang. So when she does that line, it’s like, “Holy cow, she can sing?”

Murphy’s other co-stars also gushed about the late actress in that aforementioned Vulture interview. And based on what happened at this week’s Clueless reunion, it appears the surviving cast members still have plenty of love for each other, as well.
“It didn’t look like any time had passed,” one witness of the Clueless reunion said. “They all gelled so well together and looked like they could have stepped right back into those roles.”
So does this week’s mini-reunion mean we will soon see a remake of the Clueless movie? As if!
“I’m game to whatever Amy has in store,” Silverstone previously told Wonderwall. “I think that time has passed, though. I don’t even know what Cher would be up to these days.”
