Is Josh Evans having trouble getting over Colleen Ballinger? Evans tweeted a series of emotional messages after his ex released a new video about hand-holding on first dates.

On Tuesday evening, Ballinger tweeted a link to her latest vlog, "Awkward First Date (Hand holding drama)." Based on the title, some thought Ballinger talked about a date she went on after her divorce. But in reality, the video just deals with awkward hand-holding during movie dates in general.

Still, Evans posted a series of tweets that some thought were a response to Ballinger's video. He made it clear that he was upset about something. And he even referenced hand-holding in one of the tweets.

He later told a fan that he no longer watches his ex's videos, so he may not have known what it was really about. And by Wednesday afternoon, he seemed to be feeling better.

Still, it seems Evans is still having a tough time moving on from the breakup. Also on Tuesday, he posted the message below on Instagram.

This isn't the first time Evans has hinted that he's still not over his ex. Unlike Ballinger, Evans stepped away from YouTube for a month after the breakup. During that time, he lent his voice to an outro on one of his sister's videos. And fans noted that he sounded sad in the brief audio clip. That same outro also included a link to Evans' emotional cover of "Say Something."

Then, in November, Evans posted a video about how he is handling the divorce. And he implied that the breakup wasn't his decision.

"I am okay," he said. "Some days are really good, I'm really happy. … On the other hand, there are days that are really hard. They're really hard. I don't want to be in a new house. I don't want to start over. I don't want any of this. This is not what I chose. This is not putting the blame on people, this is not pointing shade at anyone. This is just telling you my truth."

While Ballinger has been more positive in many of her YouTube videos, it's clear the divorce affected her, as well. In December, she posted a video recapping what happened to her in 2016. And while she spoke about the happy moments like the debut of her Netflix series, she also mentioned that it had been a "rough" year for her. Still, she remained optimistic.

"I learned that when things get hard and you don't think it can get any worse, things can get worse, and they will," she said in part. "But don't lose hope because things will get better, and time heals everything."
