Did Peter Kraus join The Bachelorette cast just to be the next Bachelor? Fans are wondering about Peter's true motives now that he has expressed a desire to star on Season 22.
Viewers were devastated when Rachel Lindsay dumped Peter on The Bachelorette finale because he wouldn't promise her a proposal. He's made it clear that he only wants to get engaged and married once. So he wants to take his time getting to know someone before getting down on one knee.
That would seemingly make Peter a poor fit as the next Bachelor. But Peter admitted last week that he would consider it. When asked about potentially starring in Season 22, Peter told Good Morning America, "I’d have to think a lot about it."
In fact, Peter even wrote in his high school yearbook that his goal was to be the Bachelor. "At the time, I'd not had a serious girlfriend, I don't even think I'd kissed a girl at that point and The Bachelor had just started airing and this man [Alex Michel] was the epitome of what every guy wanted to be; he was successful, intelligent, hard-working, he was known by all and desired by the girls and I wanted the girls." Peter explained.
Reality Steve also reported that ABC has already approached Peter about being the next Bachelor. So perhaps he didn't want to get engaged to Rachel on The Bachelorette because he was really gunning to be the Bachelor.
Some also think Dean Unglert could be the next Bachelor. But Reality Steve says that is not going to happen. And it sounds like Dean is still hooking up with Danielle Lombard after they got together during BIP 4.
Normally, a contestant has to finish in the Final Four to be considered for the next Bachelor/ette. But that hasn't stopped Rachel and her new fiancee from pushing for Alex Bordyukov. "He's very smart guy, good-looking. I think he would make the most interesting season. He's got that quirky personality," Bryan Abasolo told E! News.
"I don’t want to say I wouldn’t, but I can’t say I would, either," he said. "Right now, there are things in my life that I feel passionate about. My buddies and I have a blog, The Mahogany Workplace. And my friends and I started Generous Coffee. It’s a for-profit company that supports causes that make the world better. So, this season of The Bachelor feels too soon. I’d be sacrificing things that I don’t want to neglect."
