Meghan Markle has been welcomed into the royal family. Kate Middleton loves her, as does Prince William. Even Queen Elizabeth has started to accept Prince Harry's romance. So if things go well at Pippa Middleton's wedding this summer, an engagement could be in Markle's future!
There had been questions about whether Markle and Kate Middleton would get along. After all, royal spouses can be competitive with each other.
But insiders say that Markle and Middleton have become quite close. In fact, Middleton and Prince William have been giving Markle tips about dealing with the royal spotlight.
"She’s very much been accepted into the family," a source told Us Weekly. "They are so happy to see Harry happy."
Of course, it probably doesn't take much to impress the male members of the family. Guys are usually easier to please. The real test will be winning over Queen Elizabeth. Markle hasn't met the Queen yet, but reports say she is "fully supportive" of the relationship.
Meghan Markle may get to meet the Queen at Pippa Middleton's wedding in May. Markle will not attend the actual ceremony, since she is not engaged to Prince Harry yet. But she will be at the less formal reception.
And if all goes well at the wedding, Prince Harry may decide to propose. Us Weekly says the couple could get engaged in the fall.
In some ways, he's already treating her like his spouse. Per Us, he even allows her to enter Kensington Palace without going through security. And he's given her access to his private secretary and communications secretary in case she has questions about royal protocol.
"This is a love he’s never felt before," a source added. "He’s met someone who understands him on a deeper level and they just connect. Everything is still as exciting as the day they met. They talk about the future all the time and they see themselves together."
