The 'DWTS' Season 22 cast has been finalized, and it doesn't include Ben Higgins! Rumors swirled this week Ben might join the ballroom dance competition in 2016. But the 'Bachelor' star confirmed on Tuesday that he will not participate this season.

Many thought Ben would announce he was joining the cast when he appeared on 'Good Morning America' Tuesday. But instead, he is choosing to focus on his new engagement.

"My focus is not on what’s next," Ben told reporters. "It’s on [fiancée] Lauren [Bushnell] and I. Any decision that was made post show was based on what was best for us, and I believe that what’s best for us is to really concentrate on what’s best for us and to really spend as much time together as possible."

Ben said there wasn't a formal offer for him to join the 'DWTS' Season 22 cast. But he did say that there were discussions about him competing on the show.

"Right now, a lot of those requests come down through the ABC pipeline so, I don’t want to call it offers, but just people asking if I’m [interested] comes down from a group that is separate [from] me," Ben continued. "Was I asked? I’m sure it was talked about.”

Indeed, there had been speculation that Ben Higgins would be the 13th member of the 'DWTS 2016' cast. After all, former Bachelors Chris Soules, Sean Lowe and Jake Pavelka have participated in 'Dancing With The Stars' in the past.

The rumors intensified over the weekend, when troupe member Jenna Johnson posted her own 'Dancing' promo photo on her Instagram page. According to PureDWTS, some took this as a sign that she was joining the regular 'DWTS' cast in Season 22. And since her celebrity partner hadn't been announced, fans assumed she was teaming up with Ben but couldn't announce the news yet. But it seems she is remaining a troupe member, for now.

Even without Ben Higgins, the 'Dancing With The Stars' Season 22 cast is full of interesting names. This year's celebrities include: Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, current Super Bowl MVP Von Miller, Boyz II Men singer Wanya Morris, 'Fuller House' star Jodie Sweetin, 'GMA' weather reporter Ginger Zee, deaf 'America's Next Top Model' winner Nyle DiMarco, MMA fighter Paige VanZant, former 'The O.C.' actress Mischa Barton, 'Facts Of Life' star-turned Atlanta Housewife Kim Fields, Fox News host Geraldo Rivera, former NFL quarterback Doug Flutie, and Donald Trump's ex-wife Marla Maples.
