Emma Stone has always been one of the most stylish women on the red carpet. And the 2017 Oscars was no exception.
Jumping on the metallic bandwagon, the fiery redhead was glowing in a gold Givenchy Haute Couture gown. But our favorite parts of her look were her ruby lip, fringed hem and mega-watt smile!
And tonight is Stone’s night. Not only is she a major front-runner for the Best Actress Oscar for her role in La La Land, but she also absolutely killed it in a gold dress on the Academy Awards red carpet.
“We’ve been working together for nine years, so we’ve had a total evolution,” stylist Petra Flannery said. “When I work with someone and have that history, it gets easier and easier and more fun because we can take more risks.”
Stone looked absolutely stunning all awards season. Ever the risk taker, Stone looked ethereal in a pink Valentino gown with stars on it at the 2017 Golden Globes.
She then went for a daring skin-baring, asymmetrical draped Alexander McQueen dress for the 2017 SAG Awards.
Stone mixed it up at the 2017 BAFTAS. She stunned in a silver Chanel Couture outfit. Going for a dress with matching pants, Stone killed the unique look.
There’s no denying that Stone has gone through a style evolution. From the quirky ingenue in Easy A and Superbad to a true leading lady in La La Land, Stone has transformed over the years.
And a lot of Stone’s amazing style is thanks to her incredible stylist Flannery. Flannery was named the top stylist on The Hollywood Reporter’s list back in 2015. And she continues to make Stone look her best. Her favorite look from that year was Stone’s edgy Lanvin menswear outfit at the 2015 Golden Globes. “It was daring to wear pants on a major red carpet like that,” Flannery said with Stone adding,” We didn’t set out to be trendy.”
