E! News reports that "very few people have seen the finished" gown. But insiders close to Deacon say the gown is "very simple, elegant and it's all handmade."
Word first emerged that Deacon was designing Middleton's dress when he was spotted outside her home in November. He was also carrying two garment bags when he arrived. But he has remained coy about the speculation.
"I can never really comment on rumors," he told HELLO! in February. "Until things are confirmed it's just rumors."
But it makes sense that Middleton hired Deacon instead of someone from Alexander McQueen. McQueen's creative director, Sarah Burton, designed Kate Middleton's wedding gown. Pippa wanted a different designer so she's not compared to her sister.
As designers put the finishing touches on her dress, Pippa Middleton is continuing to get ready for her big day. She reportedly hired a new assistant to help plan the wedding. The unnamed assistant has previously worked with Sienna Miller and Victoria Beckham.
Middleton has also stayed busy shedding for the wedding. She was recently spotted outside a gym in Chelsea. And she's lost so much weight over the past six months that designers have had to adjust her gown five times.
Pippa Middleton and James Matthews are set to tie the knot May 20 at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire. The resident priest at St. Mark's, Rev Nick Wynne-Jones, will reportedly officiate the ceremony.
Many of members of the royal family will be there for Pippa Middleton's wedding. Pippa Middleton's niece and nephew will even be in the wedding party. Princess Charlotte will be a bridesmaid, while Prince George will be a page boy. Meanwhile, James Matthews' brother, British reality star Spencer Matthews, could be the best man.
Kate Middleton, however, likely won't be the maid of honor because she doesn't want to overshadow her sister. Instead, she may just do a reading during the wedding.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds will celebrate with a reception at Carole and Michael Middleton's $8 million mansion. The 18-acre property includes gardens, a tennis court, and a pool. There are also unconfirmed reports that Pippa Middleton asked guests to bring a separate outfit just for the reception.
