We couldn’t picture a Goonies reunion sequel without Corey Feldman. And thankfully, we won’t have to. The former child star confirmed he would take part in such a film, despite TMZ’s report to the contrary.

TMZ first reported on Saturday that Goonies director Richard Donner planned a sequel to the 1980s cult classic. Donner also told the website that he hoped the entire original cast — which featured Martha Plimpton,  Sean Astin, and Josh Brolin, among others — would return for the reunion.

But on Monday, TMZ noted that Corey Feldman seemed less than thrilled with the idea of a Goonies sequel. According to the tabloid, the actor wrote online, “It can't be done without a perfect script! We all must be certain that it doesn't miss the magic of the original.” This led some to believe Feldman would not take part in the reunion unless the story met his demands.

Later that afternoon, Corey Feldman put an end to this speculation. The actor clarified in a series of tweets that he would take part in a Goonies reunion sequel once Donner and writers Steven Spielberg and  Chris Columbus finished the script.

Other Goonies stars have been silent about the reunion rumors. But Sean Astin also seemed excited about the sequel news, at least according to the below tweet.

And, of course, we cannot have a Goonies sequel without a villain. Luckily for us, Robert Davi, who played Jake Fratelli in the original film, told TMZ on Tuesday that he would love to participate. He even already has an idea for the potential script, which would involve Jake and his brother, Francis (Joseph Pantoliano), seeking once again to find One Eyed Willie’s treasure.
