Looks like three times are a charm for Halle Berry! The 46-year-old actress, who was once opposed to marriage, decided it was finally time to take a leap of faith and officially tie the knot with her fiancé Olivier Martinez.
The couple exchanged their vows at a church on the grounds of the Chateau des Conde in Vallery, France, according to the French publication Pure People. The wedding guests were seen arriving at the venue, which featured a large white tent that shielded the bride and groom on the most magical day of their lives.
Berry’s nuptials didn’t come as a complete surprise, however. Rumors of her secret marriage to the 47-year-old actor began when the duo decided to take a trip to Martinez’s native France with her 5-year-old daughter, Nahla, earlier in the week. Perhaps Berry wanted to say “I do” while she still had her pregnant glow! The actress and her newly-wedded husband are expecting their first child together this autumn.
Prior to Berry’s marriage to Martinez, the Hollywood vixen was involved in two other committed relationships. In 1993, Berry wedded the baseball player David Justice, before splitting from him four years later. Then, the actress gave love a second chance when she walked down the aisle with musician Eric Benet. Their four-year marriage ended in 2005. Following her two failed marriages, Berry decided that perhaps being a blushing bride wasn’t in the books for her. "I will never, never get married again," she insisted in 2007 while dating Gabriel Aubry, father to her daughter. "Actually it's just that now I've come to a place where I think two people can share their lives without the ring, without the piece of paper."
But Berry ate her words when she met her irresistible husband on the set of their movie Dark Tide. Timing couldn’t have been better for the actors, seeing that the stunningly beautiful Berry had just broken up with Aubry after dating the Canadian model for nearly five years. After two years of dating, Martinez proposed to the woman who claimed she would never accept a ring again. But it looks like this time Berry will live happily ever after with her man, her daughter and her expected baby. Congratulations, Halle!
