Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has officially been canceled following the shocking accusations that Mama June Shannon is dating a child molester. The apparent news comes after the family matriarch denied she is seeing Mark McDaniel.

TMZ first reported that TLC is cancelling Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and will not even air the episodes that have already been shot. The show remains profitable for the network, but TLC decided to end the series to protect the family’s children. The kids will reportedly still receive tutoring and counseling from TLC despite the cancellation.

"TLC has cancelled the series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately," TLC said in a statement. "Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being."

News of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo's cancellation comes after TMZ spotted the newly-single Mama June on a date with convicted child molester, Mark McDaniel. McDaniel was just released from jail in March after serving 10 years in prison for molesting an 8-year-old, reportedly June's oldest daughter, Anna. Shannon and McDaniel were reportedly dating at the time of the molestation, and they now seem to be rekindling their old romance.

Still, Mama June wrote on her youngest daughter's Facebook page late Thursday that McDaniel was a past boyfriend, not a current one.

"I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors remember you can't believe everything you read!" Mama June wrote. "Ppl sell stories to the tabloid everyday that r false! It isnt true i promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn't go back."

One of Mama June’s daughters, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, also insisted that her mother is not dating Mark McDaniel. Instead, the 14-year-old told Radar Online that June is happily single following her split from husband Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson. June is instead focusing on Lauryn and her other young daughters — Alana, 9, and Jessica Shannon, 17. Anna, now, 20, recently married and moved out of the family home.

“The story is not true,” Lauryn said of the allegations Mama June is dating a child molester. “My mom left Mark 10 years ago. They haven’t seen nor talked [to each other] in 10 years. he is all about the kids. She only needs us girls, no one else. We are all sticking together as one happy family with us four girls.”
