Will Jack's death be revealed in the Season 2 premiere of This Is Us? That's what fans are wondering after they didn't get answers during the Season 1 finale.
The This Is Us cast recently dished on Season 2 of the show during PaleyFest. And before the event they opened up about some of the backlash to the finale. Mandy Moore told E! News that the backlash “bummed me out.” She was “proud” of the finale and had told people they wouldn’t find out how Jack died, so she didn’t understand why they were so surprised. Milo Ventimiglia agreed and said you never know what will happen on This Is Us. But no matter what happens, you’re getting emotional, human stories.

But never fear! While questions weren’t answered during the This Is Us finale, Chris Sullivan promised E! News that all answers would be revealed at some point. “Oh, you want answers?” he said. “Well guess what! We’re picked up for two more seasons! You’re going to get all kinds of answers, we’re going to ask a bunch more questions, and it’s all going to work out.”
So what will happen when This Is Us does return during the fall? According to executive producer Glenn Ficarra, they don’t have specifics like a premiere date yet. But we will see Jack and other characters from a new perspective. “It’s kind of an endless canvas,” he said.
Spoilers also say that we’ll also see more from Randall. Sterling K. Brown said during PaleyFest that This Is Us will delve into Randall’s desire to adopt a child.
“It’s clearly the beginning of a conversation between a husband and wife,” he said. “It’s something that’s on his heart, when he reflects on the loss of William … and the gift he had being raised as a Pearson. He wants to bring it full-circle.”
Of course, we will find out how Jack died at some point. But none of the fan theories are correct. During PaleyFest, the cast debunked the predictions that Jack died on 9/11 or that Kate “accidentally” killed him.
