Janet Jackson has given birth at 50! The singer welcomed a baby boy named Eissa on Tuesday.
"Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world,” a rep for the singer told People. "Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably."
Fans were worried that Jackson would have a difficult delivery because she experienced "complications" earlier in the pregnancy. "Janet isn't feeling that great," a source said in September. "She has gained more weight than she anticipated. It hasn't been the easiest pregnancy at all."
But her condition eventually improved. Sources told E! News in November, "The doctors said she is doing well and [told her] just to take it easy."
Janet Jackson first sparked pregnancy rumors back in April when she postponed her tour. "We're in the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change," Jackson said in a video at the time. "I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family. So I'm going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you can try and understand that it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor's orders.
Jackson then finally confirmed the baby news in October. She showed off her gorgeous bump, telling People, "We thank God for our blessing."

Jackson then spent the final months of her pregnancy preparing for her son. She set up the nursery with "soft pastel colors" and went shopping for baby furniture.
And luckily, Janet Jackson will have plenty of help from her family while caring for her newborn. "She'll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict, " her brother Jermaine said in May. "But I tell her, ‘If you need any parenting skills or baby skills, let me know because I’m the best diaper changer there is on this planet, still to this day.'"
