Jason Sudeikis is leaving Saturday Night Live! The comedian revealed his decision to David Letterman last night on The Late Show. "I'm definitely done,” Olivia Wilde’s fiancé announced. "I'm going to leave. Yeah, I'm not coming back next fall."

"It's been really, really amazing," Sudeikis said of his time on SNL. "I was very, very lucky." The comedian has been at the show for over ten years, first as a writer, and then as a performer. "If you could call it regularly employed, 10 years. 10 years, yeah, yeah,” Sudeikis said.

Despite his booming movie career (Sudeikis joins Jennifer Aniston in the August flick We Are The Millers), Sudeikis admitted he’ll probably miss his day job once summer is over. “You start to get that itch probably in August, where all these sketch ideas will show up," Sudeikis shared. "And I'll be like, 'Well, can I make this sketch idea last 90 minutes and turn it into a movie?' Probably not."

Sudeikis reportedly almost left SNL after last season, but creator Lorne Michaels got him to stick around a little bit longer. Sudeikis’ rep then confirmed his exit to The Hollywood Reporter after the Letterman appearance.

“You never really leave that place, and it never leaves you," Sudeikis said earlier this year. "It's an emotional journey getting through a season, much less the final one." SNL has already said goodbye to Bill Hader and Fred Armisen this season. Seth Meyers will be the next to leave when he replaces Jimmy Fallon as the host of Late Night.

Sudeikis recently opened up about his fiancée, Olivia Wilde, in the new issue of Elle, crediting her for his recent weight loss. “A lot of it comes from tiny things, like not eating barbecue sauce with my pizza at two in the morning,” the actor joked. “I think it’s all a manifestation of being happy and wanting to treat myself well. The truth is, I’m not getting up an hour earlier and walking on a treadmill. I have the greatest workout partner in the world. And you don’t need a gym membership for that kind of workout.”

We think he’ll be just fine post-SNL!
