Is Jef Holm The Next Bachelor? Emily Maynard’s ex is reportedly in talks with ABC about starring on the hit show next season. “Jef has been in talks with ABC about being the next Bachelor,” a source told Life & Style Magazine about Maynard’s ex. “He loves fame, so it’s no surprise he’d be open to the opportunity. He also really knows how to turn on the charm!”
“Viewers remember him and were really invested in his relationship with Emily,” the Bachelor source said. "She would not be happy about him getting this second shot and it could make for good drama.”
Although Sean Lowe tweeted: “Does anyone else think @jefholm should be the next bachelor? Just a thought,” Holm as the Bachelor may not happen. “Chances are, it’s not happening,” a Bachelor source revealed to Wetpaint. “Producers aren’t convinced Jef is ready to settle down. They just don’t believe he’s looking for marriage right now. Love maybe, but not marriage, which is really what matters when it comes to being the Bachelor.”
In June, Holm told E! News he was "definitely interested in dating and finding the right girl if she comes along. Right now, I consider myself single," he added. "I'm focusing on me."
As of last month, Holm was romancing college student Michelle Mugleston. "They met at a party over Christmas," the friend told E! "But they've only been hanging out since April. It's new and they're having fun. He makes her laugh." In response to the Holm-Mugleston reports, a source said, “Anything’s possible. But barring some very unforeseen circumstances, this is just a rumor.”
Holm and Maynard broke up in October 2012. At the time Maynard said: “It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision....We tried our best because the love between us was so real....Ultimately, we are at different points in our lives.” While Holm issued his own statement saying, “I’ve never loved someone so much in my whole life, Emily is the best person and mom I have ever met....Everyone wants a salacious story to break, but the truth is we are just two people who fell in love and tried our hardest to make it work. I will always love her.”
