Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are having a rough time making it down the aisle, in every sense of the word. Not only was their summer wedding date reportedly postponed, Aniston has now suffered a broken toe courtesy of Theroux! The We’re The Millers star revealed that her fiancé's clumsy footing resulted in Theroux stepping on Aniston’s toe and breaking it, which has led her to awkwardly hobble around while promoting her new film.
Speaking with E! Online, Aniston said she didn’t visit a hospital and has been able to find some humor in the injury. "Not to out my sweet, sweet fiancé, but he has big feet and wears these boots," the former Friends star said. "He stepped on my toe. Broke it. I felt it."
The broken toe caused by Theroux has further fueled rumors that his summer wedding with Aniston will be postponed or possibly even called off. However, Aniston was quick to refute the rumors and said that a wedding date was never even set between the couple. "We just want to do it when it's perfect and we're not rushed, and no one is rushing from a job or rushing to a job," she said. "We have [yet] to set any date. There have been no cancelled weddings. There have been no postponed weddings. There have been no arguments about where to get married."
However, Aniston and Theroux have reportedly been disputing where they will reside post-wedding. The pair currently live in Los Angeles at Aniston’s Bel Air mansion, and Theroux is trying to convince Aniston to move to NYC, but the actress has already tried living there once and is reportedly refusing to move back east. She bought two apartments in the West Village for $7.01 million, but sold them in April 2012 at a loss of more than $500,000. A source told Radar Online that Aniston is now “firmly planted in LA and doesn’t like New York City.”
Aniston has reportedly done everything possible to make her fiancé's time in LA as comfortable as possible, including building a guest house for him at her Bel Air mansion. Theroux, however, simply prefers the east coast. “Justin has really tried to like living in Los Angeles, but he just doesn’t,” the source revealed. “He loves the energy and grittiness of New York City… and misses having actual seasons. He is appreciative of Jen’s efforts, but it still doesn’t change the fact that the couple is living in L.A.”
Despite their quarrels over location, however, both Theroux and Aniston are still intent on continuing their relationship and eventually walking down the aisle. The couple have been together since May 2011 and have been engaged for nearly a year. “Justin loves Jen and doesn’t want this to be a deal breaker for the relationship,” the insider added. “He is confident they can work through it.”
