Jennifer Lawrence is reprising her role as Mystique in X-Men: Days of Future Past, and luckily for men, the Oscar winner’s wardrobe for the flick consists of blue body paint – and not much else.

First glimpses of Lawrence as Mystique went viral on Twitter, showing the actress’ enviable physique — fully nude except for blue body paint. Wearing a red wig and yellow colored contacts, a scaly blue Lawrence is nearly unrecognizable, but eerily stunning nonetheless.

“First look: #JenniferLawrence as a vengeful #Mystique. #Xmen #DaysOfFuturePast,” X-Men director Bryan Singer captioned the sexy Twitpic. Lawrence rivals fellow actress Zoe Saldana for the best blue body paint award, but the 22-year-old admitted that the old adage “pain is beauty” is true when it comes to painted-on costumes.

Jennifer Lawrence at Cannes As the face of Dior, it came as no surprise that JLaw chose the designer for her Cannes Film Festival ensembles. This black and white evening gown is a far cry from a blue bodysuit, but looks flawless nonetheless.

“I got a couple of things from the paint,” Lawrence revealed in 2011 after filming X-Men: First Class. “Like weird boils, rashes and blisters,” the actress added before sharing a bit too much information about her doctor popping the blemishes.

Lawrence also revealed the tedious application that involved seven makeup artists covering her in blue on a daily basis. “Nothing’s sacred anymore,” she said. “Those girls and I got so close. They were painting me naked every day for months. It was kind of like going to a really bizarre sleepover,” Lawrence added.

Yet, despite the uncomfortable transformation process, The Hunger Games actress gushed that filming the X-Men installment was an awesome experience. “Making the movie was great because the whole cast, we all – legitimately! – really loved each other,” Lawrence recalled. “It was just kind of like being at a really bizarre summer camp because we were around each other 24/7 for months and months.”

In other news, JLaw has been turning up the heat in equally sultry, although not blue, ensembles while frequenting events at Cannes. Lawrence has a well-known affinity for Dior. So it wasn't surprising she tried three separate looks by the designer, including a black jumpsuit, white strapless dress and a black and white evening gown to red carpet events.
