Jennifer Lopez is known for her amazing backside, but that perfect derriere shouldn't steal all the spotlight! The 48-year-old singer’s abs come in a close second to her internationally known booty and here’s why: her tummy is toned to perfection. It’s almost hard to believe she had twins hidden behind those muscles at one point. Nevertheless, the mother of two says she hasn't been as good about working out recently and wants to “get her body back.”
Really? We just saw the “Live It Up” video and your body couldn’t look any more in shape! But the singer is determined to have her stomach even more chiseled. So how will J.Lo turn back the clock?
The busy mother sets aside three hours a day to dedicate to her curvy body. "I'm determined to get my body back — I want abs again!" Jennifer reportedly told friends.
The singer allegedly struggled to shed the baby weight she gained with her children Max and Emme and swears that by next month she is going to have her pre-baby body back! And finding inspiration is easy. She has a 26-year-old boyfriend: buff backup dancer Casper Smart!
Apparently the singer thinks she’s gained weight since dating her younger beau. As Lopez got more comfortable in the relationship she allegedly got a little lazy.
"Jen usually sticks to a rigid 1,400 calories-a-day diet with lots of meat, vegetable protein like soy and tofu, and green vegetables. But recently she's been eating more sugary snacks with the kids and indulging in cookies and ice cream while watching films with the family. She's started noticing a difference to her tummy as well as her bum and thighs," a Closer magazine source continued. "She's usually a toned UK 10 but has put on around five pounds and gone to a UK size 10-12."
So how is Lopez planning on getting her sexy figure back? Well, her trainer Tracy Anderson spilled the starlet’s fitness secrets and we have to say we’re pretty intrigued!
“When someone’s preparing for tours and giving energy to that many people, they can’t be out of shape,” Anderson told Hollywood Life. “Her workouts have to give her the ability to have endurance for the show,” adding, “We don’t want to change her sexy body!”
The trainer says Lopez switches her workout every ten days to trick and challenge her muscles. So how will Anderson get Lopez’s tummy looking like a washboard? The move is called the lean, tuck, kick combo:
Move 1: Hold the back of a chair with both hands. The non-working leg should be placed back away from chair, and balancing on toe.
Move 2: Pull working leg into chair back keeping body straight and leaning forward. Push body away from the chair, tucking knee into chest by curving the back, then extend leg high to the ceiling as the working hand reaches to touch the ground. Should finish with working leg up in the air and working hand on the floor.
