Kaitlyn Bristowe’s face has been looking a lot different recently, prompting Bachelorette fans to wonder if she got Botox, injections or other work at a doctor’s office.
After she posted a new selfie last week, fans couldn’t help but notice Kaitlyn’s plumper pout. “Love the lip injections,” wrote one follower. "How much plastic surgery have you had,” tweeted another fan. “You look way older and the blond hair is also making you look old.”
The 31-year-old certainly looks different since she first appeared on The Bachelor in 2015. But, to her credit, she’s not shying away from the discussion.
Kaitlyn responded to past accusations on Snapchat in a very emotional post where she talked about cyber bullying. "I'm crying," she wrote. "Not because people tell me I'm not beautiful anymore, say I get too much Botox, and ask wtf happened to my face. I'm crying because the world we live in makes me not want to bring beautiful innocent children into it. And that kills me."
Later Kaitlyn turned to Instagram to share more, posting a selfie of her face close-up, and demonstrating the absurd double standards women live by each day.
She captions, “Women have wrinkles? They don't age well. Women get Botox? Ew wtf happened to their face. Women are skinny? Must be anorexic. Women are heavier? Omg lose some weight. Women are powerful and opinionated? She must be on her period. I'm SICK of it all.”
Finally, the 31-year-old turned to Facebook Live to continue her message — as well as address those who criticize her changing looks and her use of Botox. First, she started off by defending her choice to show her tears, explaining that she is “never going to not be who I am.”
She said, “I’m really sick of everybody trying to be super happy and perfect on all forms of social media all the time… I’m actually going to show people that I’m a human being with emotions.”
As for those taking issue with Kait’s current look, she also had a message for them.
“Duh! It’s been like two years! The camera adds 10 pounds, I lost about 5 pounds, because on the show, I gained weight being so stressed out,” she said.“I cut my hair, I dyed it blonde, I learned how to do my makeup. Obviously, I look different!” she continues.
“Who cares if I did get Botox? You know what, I did get Botox in my forehead and I have since I was 26 and I’m probably never going to stop,” she concluded. “Do whatever makes you happy!”
