Kate Moss will grace the cover of Playboy for its 60th anniversary issue this upcoming year. At 39, the supermodel is still as sexy as ever, but will her rumored full-frontal naked photos in the men’s magazine cement her status as one of the hottest women of all time?

Playboy certainly thinks so! And the magazine chose their 60th anniversary cover girl quite carefully. "This is a massive global brand," Jimmy Jellinek, Playboy’s editorial director told The Los Angeles Times. "You need a global icon in order to celebrate that — that was the impetus. You’re talking about the face of Burberry, the biggest supermodel in the world on the cover of Playboy. She’s the perfect partner for us to help launch the next 60 years."

The Moss spread was shot by fashion photographers Marcus Pigott and Mert Atlas. Although Moss is known for her “heroin chic” look from the ‘90s, the supermodel will don “velveteen bunny ears, French cuffs, silk stockings and a come-hither smile,” in the Playboy anniversary issue.

"She’s a worldwide celebrity, and iconic, and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modeling," Hugh Hefner told The L.A. Times.  "It’s a natural for us." Supermodels aren’t foreign to the Playboy brand. Cindy Crawford, Elle MacPherson, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and many more have covered the iconic magazine.

Moss is no stranger to nudity. Moss just stripped down for Saint Tropez tanning products and has also gone nude for Love Magazine and Vogue Brazil. Moss has also been the face of Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, David Yurman and many other brands, including having her own line at Topshop stores.

"Kate's done so much modeling; she's got no inhibitions when it comes to her body. She barely realizes if the bikini's on or off. And when she's on holiday, she just doesn't care what people think," a Moss insider said earlier this year.

"Everyone's a celebrity. But I'm kind of a celebrity now ... even though I'm not an actress,” Moss told Allure about her star power. “People know my name. I'm not just a face." That’s certainly an understatement. "This creates a heat for the brand globally," Jellinek said. "It started with Marilyn Monroe on the cover of Playboy 60 years ago, an icon for her time. Now we've got Kate Moss!"
