Is a real life love match happening for The Americans co-stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys? After Russell announced her separation from husband Shane Deary, new reports are circulating that Russell and Rhys are getting pretty cozy.
Multiple reports have seen Russell and Rhys in NYC “looking affectionate” with each other around New York City. Page Six reports that the two were spotted at lunch at ABC Kitchen looking intimate. “Seeing the way they are together I could have sworn they were a couple,” a source said. “They were so touchy-feely, drinking and laughing.”
People also reports the two co-stars were seen walking around Russell’s Brooklyn Heights neighborhood shopping and looking at furniture. "They looked very much like a couple," a source told the magazine. "They were laughing and walking closely together."
Russell and Deary were married on Valentine’s Day in 2007. Deary is a contractor who had dated the Felicity star for many years beforehand.
Russell and Deary have two children, son River and daughter Willa. The two revealed their separation this month. “They have been separated since early summer,” a rep said for the couple. “The separation is amicable and their focus is on their children.”
Rhys was single before reportedly hooking up with Russell. I am lucky in a way because I am still single — much to my mother’s fury — so I can embrace the gypsy lifestyle [of an actor] and enjoy it,” Rhys said. “Many of my friends now have wives and kids, and they find juggling the two incredibly hard.”
Russell and Rhys have been on FX’s The Americans since Jan. 2013. The show is expected to come back for its second season on Feb. 26, 2014.
