Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are engaged! The rapper launched his Kris Jenner-approved engagement request yesterday on Kardashian’s birthday, and did so in the most lavish manner possible. West and Kardashian already have an infant daughter together named North, but Yeezy took things a step further with his romantic proposal inside a baseball stadium.
Reported engagement details include West renting out San Francisco’s AT&T Park and proposing with a 15-carat diamond ring, as a 50-piece orchestra played his track “Knock You Down” and then Lana Del Rey’s “Young And Beautiful.” He also got down on one knee as “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!” blared across the stadium Jumbotron. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Kardashian said yes and accepted the beautiful engagement ring. Kris Jenner confirmed the engagement by telling E! News: “A match made in heaven! I am so happy for both of my kids, Kim and Kanye.”
No wedding plans have been reported or confirmed yet, although it does not appear likely that West and Kardashian will get married by the end of the year. However, Jenner raved about West earlier this month when she appeared on Ross Matthews’ radio show, declaring that he is the perfect man for Kardashian. "I love him so much. He's such an amazing boyfriend to Kim and a great dad and a wonderful person,” she gushed. He's creative, and he's an amazing, amazing human being. "It's just a really delicious time with those kids ... and [Kim's] just the best mom in the world. They're really great parents.”
Despite Kardashian and West having been together for over two years, they still seem just as attracted to each other as ever. When the reality star posted a sexy Instagram selfie last week, West responded by writing on Twitter: “HEADING HOME NOW!” He has also referred to Kardashian as a “treasure” in interviews and has regularly spoken about his love for her.
It also appears that the rapper has gotten his future wife to stop going under the knife. West reportedly banned Kardashian from having any more plastic surgery due to fears stemming from his mother, Donda, dying from plastic surgery complications. Sources claim she was planning on having a tummy tuck immediately after giving birth to daughter North, but West stopped her from going forward with it.
“Kim was certain that she wanted to have surgery after giving birth because she wanted a head start on losing her baby weight. He really flipped out,” a source said. “Kanye told Kim in no uncertain terms that she needed to put her baby and her life first. He got pretty emotional because he really didn’t want her going through that kind of major surgery. He’s still traumatized from his mom’s death.”
