Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had a pretty busy year. The hottest couple in Hollywood welcomed a bouncing baby girl into the world, got engaged in one of the most elaborate proposals to date, and spent a large chunk of 2013 watching parodies of themselves – specifically of their “Bound 2” music video.
From James Franco and Seth Rogen’s delightful interpretation to South Park’s side-splitting spoof, Kardashian and Kanye had to withstand a lot of criticism for their romantic video. But out of all the parodies mocking the motorcycle-transporting love story, it was Saturday Night Live’s holiday satire that will probably have us chuckling all the way until Christmas morning.
During the comedy show’s Dec. 21 episode, Jay Pharoah and Nasim Pedrar decided to break out their best Kimye impressions for their “Waking Up With Kimye Skit.” The SNL star’s touched upon Kardashian’s post-baby body, got festive with background music from the “Kardashian Khristmas Karolers,” and most importantly, stunned us with their own adaptation of the “Bound 2” music video.
Trading in a motorcycle for a fake reindeer, Kimye road Rudolph all the way to the North Pole during the hilarious SNL spoof. “I know you’re tired of leading with your shiny red nose,” the parody began, until a nasally Kim chimed in, “Uh-huh, Rudolph.”
The faux couple sported Christmas attire as they rocked back and forth on the festive prop. “All them other deers lame and you know it now. When Ye-Clause hold you down, your courage found. Bam,” Pharoah rapped throughout the parody.
