Is Kim Kardashian obsessed with losing weight? Critics think she’s gone too far trying to get the perfect body.
Kim took to Twitter this week and joked she was happy she got the flu just before the Met Gala. “The flu can be an amazing diet,” Kim wrote. “So happy it came in time for the Met lol #6lbsdown.”
Critics immediately went off on Kim. They even tweeted clips of Emily Blunt’s character from The Devil Wears Prada saying, “I’m just one stomach flu away from my goal weight.”
Khloe Kardashian came to her sister's defense. She posted gorgeous photos of Kim and wrote, “Well damn … she shut s--t down!!! Hands down the best body ever! S--t, I have to get my s--t together. If this isn’t motivation, then I don’t know what is!! Keeks you really look amazing!!!”
But it’s no secret that Kim’s obsessed with getting thin. After she had North and Saint, she went on strict diet and exercise regimens to get her body back She’d constantly talk about her Atkins diet, her tireless workouts at the gym, and how many pounds she still had to lose.
“Having a positive self-image has always been important to me because it affects so many aspects of my life: My work, my relationship with my husband and my life as a mom,” she said over the summer. She added that after she gave birth to North she was “nervous about whether I’d be able to get back to anywhere near my pre-pregnancy weight and feel confident again.”
But she worked hard and dropped the pounds after her first pregnancy. And last year, she was determined to do the same before the Met Gala. She told Kendall Jenner at the time that she wanted to be at her “goal weight” for the event. Thanks to her diet and workouts, she did it.
