Kristin Cavallari's baby bump style? Sexy! Stepping out in a form-fitting sheer H&M top and maxi skirt for The Blonds show, the pregnant Hills alum proved maternity clothes don't have to be matronly.
"I gravitate toward form-fitting dresses just because they're the most comfortable, and I think they look sleek with a great pair of shoes and a little jacket. Then you call it a day!" Cavallari told Hollywood Take at the KIA STYLE360 during NYFW at Row NYC.
"That way you can wear a lot of stuff that's already in your closet. I have a lot of dresses made out of stretchy material that have worked throughout my entire pregnancy. I'm not the kind of girl who likes to spend a ton of money on maternity clothes. Especially because I'm pretty sure this is going to be the last time that I'm pregnant I didn't want to buy anything."
Despite her growing baby bump, Cavallari still wants to have fun with fashion. "I just buy normal clothes sometimes a size bigger," Cavallari told HT. "I love embracing the bump. It's fun. There's only so many months out of your life that you're going to have it." Her go-to designers? TopShop and H&M maternity.
Lucky for her, the blond beauty is known for getting her body back in record time after giving birth. "I think it starts when you're pregnant. It's maintaining a healthy lifestyle," she revealed. "I always give myself two weeks after having a baby to not give a you-know-what and eat whatever I want, however much I want. Then gradually I start eating healthy again and am conscious about what I'm putting in my mouth."
Nevertheless, the Balancing in Heels author admits she has pregnancy cravings. "I crave things when I'm not pregnant. Sometimes I want a cupcake. Sometimes I want a burger," she said. "I just give in to them more when I'm pregnant."
So how does Cavallari drop the weight after giving birth? "Going for walks always helps," she added. "I start working out slowly when I'm allowed to. It's about not being hard on yourself, whether you gain 10 pounds or 50 pounds, your stomach feels like Jello. It's the weirdest feeling in the world, and it just takes time. Just enjoy being a mom and realize what your body just went through and focus on the miracle that's in front of you."
The mom of two and her QB husband Jay Cutler announced they were expecting their third child on her app, Kristin Cavallari Official, in May. Two months later they revealed they're having a girl. "Our new addition!” she captioned a pic of Jay holding a pair of hot-pink Converse sneakers for a baby. “The boys are so excited to have a little sister on the way!!!”
The couple already has two sons Camden, 2, and Jaxon, 14 months and plans to repurpose the boys' furniture for their new little one. "We're using all the same furniture we did with Jaxon," she concluded. "We're just changing the knobs to clear pink ones and decorating in pinks and purples."
