Is Lea Michele looking too skinny these days? The Glee star recently stepped out at the Elle Women of Hollywood event, and although she looked gorgeous, Michele displayed a noticeable weight loss. Rumors are surfacing that the weight loss has to do with Michele struggling with the death of her boyfriend, Cory Monteith, who tragically passed away last July from a drug overdose.
The reports of Michele struggling to move on from the death of Monteith intensified last weekend, when she was spotted wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring. However, a source told E! News that the jewelry was not an engagement ring from the actor and just a diamond ring she already owned.
The last few months have understandably been difficult for Michele. A source told People magazine that Michele “still misses him every day” and “talks about Cory all the time.” On the same day the heartbreaking Glee tribute episode to Monteith aired last week, Michele posted an Instagram picture of them together at an event in 2012 and wrote: “TEXT CHANCE to 50555 to give $10 to @ChrysalisLA an amazing org that Cory and I supported together.”
Since his death, Michele has been leaning on loved ones because she “doesn’t like to be alone. Her friends have really been helping her through it. It was hard to get up every morning. But now, she’s doing okay.” Despite still being in mourning for Monteith, Michele has managed to return to work and resume filming for what is reported to be the final season of Glee.

Michele gave her only public comments about Monteith since his death during the Teen Choice Awards last August, where she won Choice TV actress. Choking back tears as she stood alongside several of her Glee castmates, Michele broke down when she took to the podium to accept her award. “I just wanted to…tell everyone out there how much all of your love and support has meant to me over these past very difficult few weeks,” she said. "I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory.”
The Glee star also vowed in her speech to keep Monteith’s legacy going. For all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did, I promise that, with your love, we're gonna get through this together,” Michele said. “He was very special to me and also to the world, and we were very lucky to witness his incredible talent, his handsome smile and his beautiful, beautiful heart … he became a part of all of our hearts. And that’s where he’ll stay forever.”
