Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr may have split up, but the Romeo and Juliet star is continuing to stand by his words that the two will always be “family.” In the wake of rumors of Kerr’s infidelity with 19-year-old Justin Bieber, will the two continue to be amicable for the sake of their son Flynn?
Reports are coming forward that during last year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Kerr and Bieber became a little too close for comfort. “She’s always very flirty with him” a source told Us Weekly, adding that the two had sent “dirty texts” to one another. Kerr apparently partied with Bieber after the VS show and even taught her son how to say “Bieber Fever.”
“Orlando heard that there had been some flirting going on and he wasn’t exactly thrilled about it,” a source told The Mirror. “Miranda had always claimed that she was a fan of Justin’s music. She has taught her son how to say Bieber Fever but it is supposed to have caused an issue.”
Kerr and Bloom haven’t addressed these specific rumors, but Bloom did open about his split on Katie yesterday, saying that he and his ex-wife are still a “family.”
"We love each other, we're a family,” Bloom told Katie Couric. "We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives. There's no question for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn.”
"And you know," Bloom continued, "life doesn't always work out exactly as we plan or hope for but fortunately we're both ... we're adults. We love and care about each other and we, most of all, love our son."
Kerr and Bloom have been seen out and about together with their son many times since announcing their split in late Otcober. "In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months," Bloom’s rep said. "After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation."
"Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family." They seem to be doing that (so far) in a very admirable way!
