What will Pippa Middleton's wedding dress look like? And who will design the bridal gown? Those questions and more are swirling as we approach her big day on May 20.
Many believe that Giles Deacon will design Pippa’s wedding dress because the designer and his assistant were seen visiting Pippa and her mom Carole last year. They brought over bulky dress begs, which could have been wedding dresses.
However, Jenny Packham is also a likely contender because she’s a huge favorite in the Middleton family. Pippa is also a fan of Victoria Beckham. So some have speculated that she could design the dress. Other options include Elie Saab, Suzanne Neville, Ralph and Russo, Emilia Wickstead, Marchesa and Valentino.
One option Pippa likely won’t go with, though, is Alexander McQueen. Both Kate and Pippa Middleton wore dresses designed by Sarah Burton from Alexander McQueen at the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding. And Pippa will likely want to step out of her sister’s shadow and do her own thing.
It's not exactly a secret that Pippa unintentionally stole the spotlight at Kate's wedding. With an Alexander McQueen gown that was perfectly molded to her petite frame, Kate's sister looked flawless. Finding a middle ground between minimalist and majestic, the sexy sibling had no problem turning heads.
Pippa is known for choosing sexy styles that show off her figure. But she is getting married at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield. So she will likely find a gown that is form-fitting but not too revealing. One advantage to marrying a royal, though, is that she won't have to go too conservative.
Many insiders believe Pippa will choose a second (sexier) dress for the reception at her parents’ home seven miles away from the church. The party will reportedly take place in the 18-acre garden on the premises.
This is Pippa’s moment to shine. And she knows it. So we’re not expecting to see anything that looks like Kate Middleton's gown.
