Rihanna and Cliff Dixon were photographed together at Hooray Henry’s over the Fourth of July weekend. This came shortly after the two attended NBA star Kevin Durant’s pool party. Dixon is either Durant’s close friend or half-brother, depending on which reports you believe.
And Cliff Dixon did little to squash the Rihanna speculation. Last week, he posted Instagram photos of the singer in honor of “Woman Crush Wednesday.” Then yesterday, he posted another Rihanna picture with the caption, “She said they gonna hate no matter what, I said the PJ ready, Where you wanna go for lunch?” However, neither he nor Rihanna has formally responded to the dating rumors.
So who exactly is Cliff Dixon? He played basketball at a junior college before transferring to Western Kentucky for the 2009-10 season. He averaged 4.8 points per game with the squad before getting kicked off the team midway through his senior season for a violation of team rules. More recently, he apparently had a tryout with the Brazilian team Vivo/Franca Basquete Sau Paulo in 2012 and played for the minor league Lake Michigan Admirals the following year.
We just hope that this rumored relationship goes a lot better than Rihanna’s previous flings. The singer just split from on-again off-again lover Drake in May. This came just months after the singers seemingly reconciled with a series of flirtatious European outings.
“Rihanna and Drake had another fight,” a source told Us Weekly in May. “He is too in love with her, which has always been the problem. They have been fighting, but that could all change any day now. It is how it always is with them.”
“He [Drake] gave his whole heart to Rihanna and he feels she stomped on it,” a source told Heat magazine. “He told Rihanna’s best friend, Melissa Forde, that Rihanna should forget his face, forget his number and never call or come crying when she's hurt or lonely.”
And we did not even mention Rihanna’s drama with Chris Brown. We hope this rumored Cliff Dixon relationship works out better, but considering her history in the romance department, we have our doubts.
