Does Ryan Edwards still have a drug problem? That's what Teen Mom fans are wondering after a scary episode last night.

Ryan's ex, Maci Bookout, has been discussing an intervention for the father of her child for some time. And things came to a head when Ryan’s then-fiancée, Mackenzie Standifer, accused him of driving under the influence of Xanax. Viewers watched in horror as the groom-to-be drifted off to sleep while driving to his own wedding, something they were doing to improve his chances of getting custody of Bentley.

“Why are you swerving,” Mackenzie asked as she grabbed the steering wheel several times. “My eyes, babe, in the sunlight I can’t keep 'em open,” Ryan answered in a groggy state. Mackenzie eventually turned off the dashboard camera, but the audio still captured her asking, “Did you take Xanax again?” He denied it, but his actions told a different story.

Ryan Edwards Drug Problem Maci Bookout's ex, Ryan Edwards, has had an ongoing drug problem.

Maci had long been worried that Ryan's drug problem had escalated. The mom of three spoke openly this season about how she and her ex don’t have the best relationship, but she still wanted him to be safe and healthy for the sake of their son. The reality star took on the burden of trying to confront Ryan and get him help when it seemed his own parents and fiancée wouldn’t step in.

Maci later revealed on camera that she wasn’t convinced she got through to him and worried for her son’s safety. So where do things stand today?

Ryan released a statement after the June 26 episode aired revealing that he had completed a stint in rehab and is now clean. "A little over 30 days ago, I made the decision to check myself into a rehabilitation facility,” he said. “I am back home now doing well, and life could not be better. Without the support of my wife and parents I would not have been able to do this. Thank you all for your well wishes."

Maci Bookout Bentley is now a big brother to his sister Jayde Carter.

Though Maci hasn’t made a comment yet, it seems she is willing to help Ryan for the sake of their son. She spoke with a counselor on a previous episode and expressed the hope that Bentley’s father could get clean.
