Will Shannon and David Beador get divorced? A preview of this week's Real Housewives Of Orange County hints at more problems for the married couple.
Already this season, Shannon has lamented how David is spending more time in the gym and less time with his family. "Because his exercise schedule is so rigorous now, both the kids and I don’t see him," she said in one recent episode. "He works out before work, comes home and eats with us, and then goes and works out until he goes to bed."
This came after Vicki Gunvalson accused David of abusing Shannon last season. Stress from that scandal caused Shannon to gain about 40 pounds. And a preview of Monday's RHOC shows Shannon and David discussing how the allegations affected their marriage.
Watch Shannon and David discuss the state of their marriage.
"It didn’t bother me, but I know it certainly bothered you," David tells his wife. "There was nothing I could do, and I couldn’t convince you to let it go."
Shannon then replies, "Well, I guess it’s all my fault. When you said I didn’t let it go and you’re making it seem like I was obsessed."
David says their marriage is still not back where it was in the past. "To be honest, I wish things were a little bit better with us — a lot better with us," David says to Shannon. "I think the last six months have been very stressful for you, and I don’t do well when you’re very stressed 'cause I essentially pull away when you’re stressed."
Of course, Shannon and David have had issues in the past. David famously cheated on his wife with a woman named Nicole McMackin. David even admitted on Watch What Happens Live that he thought he "was in love" with his mistress. But he and Shannon reconciled thanks in part to a couples retreat. They even renewed their vows last season.
"After I found out about the infidelity, we had some bumps back and forth and we finally ended up at a place called Couples Retreat," she told Us in 2015. "They have a 90 percent success rate with repairing marriages and we went through the process and it was eye-opening for the both of us and we received some tools that would help us repair our marriage."
And now Shannon insists that she and David are working through their problems. "Things are, things are good. You know, we’re good," Shannon told Daily Dish. "Every marriage has the high high and sometimes you go low. And let’s be honest, I ended last season on the highest high I think I’ve ever had in our marriage because we renewed our vows and everything was so amazing. So you go through dips and valleys."
