Tarek and Christina El Moussa hope to continue working with HGTV after their breakup. So Flip Or Flop is not getting canceled anytime soon, despite the recently announced spinoffs. But how will these new shows affect Tarek and Christina's net worth?

HGTV recently announced five new Flip Or Flop spinoffs set across the country. Each will feature a different set of hosts.

But while Tarek and Christina originated the Flip Or Flop brand, sources told TMZ that the couple won't get paid for the new series. The spinoffs were the network's idea, not Tarek and Christina's, though HGTV did tell them about the plan in advance. Tarek and Christina also knew from the start that they wouldn't make any extra money from the new shows.

Some also wondered if these spinoffs would lead to the cancellation of the original Flip Or Flop. Rumors swirled that HGTV wanted to phase out and replace the show now that Tarek and Christina have split up. But TMZ confirms that the spinoff plans have been in place for a year, well before Tarek and Christina announced their breakup. And producers now think the new series could actually help the former couple's brand.

Tarek And Christina El Moussa Tarek and Christina will not receive any extra money for the 'Flip Or Flop' spinoffs.

Despite the divorce, Tarek and Christina want to maintain that brand, as well. They are continuing to film and give lectures together. Both have even sounded open to shooting more episodes. Tarek recently told Today,  "We don't want to just stop doing our job."  And Christina similarly told GMA that they "look forward to continuing the show."

Now that Tarek and Christina have built up their brand together, they obviously don't want it to end. But ironically, it was their newfound fame that contributed to their decision to split.

"I feel like if we had better communication, we would have had a better relationship," Tarek said on The Doctors this week. "I think as time went on, as you get busier and busier. It was like overnight, businesses, TV, all these things happened overnight, then the cancer, then the cancer, and the back surgery. It just kind of started pushing us apart from each other."

Tarek And Christina Instagram Tarek thinks that his and Christina's sudden fame contributed to their divorce.

Specifically, as their net worth got higher, Christina wanted to spend more money. But Tarek was fine with a more humble lifestyle.

"In a lot of ways they just seemed wildly incompatible," a source told People. "She has champagne tastes, and he’s a beer-from-a-can kind of guy. And that was okay for a while when all they could afford was canned beer — they were on the same page, working together to make it and to do the best with what they had. But the stardom from the show, and the money from the show, meant that she started to feel like she could finally have some of the finer things in life. He just couldn’t or didn’t want to keep up."
