Dennis Hof, the owner of Love Ranch South, is being questioned by Khloe Kardashian and KUWTK fans today as the Nevada brothel owner tells her to "go to hell." Since Lamar Odom was found unconscious at the Nevada brothel on Tuesday night, details have emerged exposing a disturbing culture of drugs and prostitution at the ranch.
When the Love Ranch owner first spoke about Lamar Odom's time at the brothel he said the NBA player was in good spirits. He also claimed Lamar was not taking illegal drugs at the ranch. It has since been revealed that Lamar took cocaine and 10 doses of an herbal Viagra substitute while at the brothel.
Khloe's rep asked Dennis Hof to refrain from speaking to the press. Yet he seems to have no interest in obliging. "We reached out to Dennis," Khloe Kardashian's rep told Us. "Politely asking him to respect Lamar’s [and Khloe’s] privacy during this difficult time, and refrain from talking to the press. This is a very painful situation, as I know you are aware, and the idea that anyone would use it to seek publicity is really sad."
Dennis has repeatedly changed his story and none of what he says seems to match up with Lamar’s condition. At first, Dennis said that Lamar was just having fun, and hadn’t taken any drugs besides herbal Viagra.
Dennis said Lamar was in a “great mood” and “ready to have a good time.” “He just wanted a little peace and quiet and get away from the pressures of life,” Dennis Hof said.
So what exactly is the Love Ranch South? The Love Ranch South is a legal brothel with multiple locations in Nevada. Dennis bought his first brothel in 1993 38 years after it opened. His other brothel, the Moonlite BunnyRanch, was featured in Cathouse: The Series.
Their services include sex, of course. But Dennis Hof said that Lamar paid for the “girlfriend experience,” which includes cooking, dates and more. He paid $75,000 and was planning to stay there around 10 days.
Dennis Hof's brothels are all open 24-7 and have up to 50 women working there at any time and any consenting adult is allowed in, but Dennis says that everyone’s clean and healthy and they don’t do drugs.
The Love Ranch South has had a bunch of famous clients. Vince Neil from Motley Crue actually went in 2003 and was arrested for beating up a prostitute. Liberace’s ex-boyfriend Scott Thorson went in 2013, porn star Ron Jeremy goes to the ranch all the time and even has his own penis-shaped patio.
Nevada hasn’t made prostitution illegal across the state. Instead, each county in Nevada can decide if prostitution can be legal or not, which is how Dennis Hof can run his brothel.
Dennis says that having legal prostitution protects the women and lets them have control of the business.
“My morals say that a girl being trafficked is disgusting,” Dennis said at Oxford in 2012. “… You’ve had 124 years to fix the problem. Try it my way. Just try it my way because it works. I’ve lived it.”
